Don't kid yourself. Today, we need New Deal
Democrats.

Progressives have to look forward. There is a huge independently
progressive and Democratic constituency that is not being
adequately represented by the Democratic Party as it stands
today. Constituents on the Left are hungry for the real thing.

Real progressive politics. Real democracy. Real progress.

There is a historically rich tradition and legacy in
Democratic politics, if we have the courage to
reclaim it.

Let's do it. Or as someone famous once said, not so long ago:
"It'll be - just like starting over."

Dr. Ruiz (Ph.D in Humanities, Florida State University, 2006; MLA in
Liberal Arts, University of North Carolina, 2003; BS in Molecular
and Microbiology, University of Central Florida, 1996) was born in
New York City in 1970 and lives in New Smyrna Beach, FL, USA.
He is the author of America in Absentia (2008), Integral Reality (with
Robert Hassan, forthcoming, 2012) and The Metaphysics of
Capital, (2006). He is also the editor of Kritikos.

He is married to Danielle Ruiz, and has two sons, Nicholas and Kai.
