| I Feel You In My Bones by Nicholas Ruiz III Ten aphorisms on why you should support this campaign: 1. You believe America can be a better place; better than what Republicans tell you. 2. You’re progressive; not in a reactionary sense – but in a visionary sense. 3. You know that the unregulated Market desires only its future, trading toward it, and nothing else. You want it to be regulated for the benefit of America – and you refuse to let the Market destroy families and lives in the name of mob profit rule. 4. You believe that over time, life becomes something else. But that is the business of religion, not government, which should be separated by law. Further, you believe that we should teach our children about the plurality of religions, in an academic and historical sense, so that they may then choose to be religious, or not. 5. You believe that indoctrination is for fascists – you are not dogmatic, and you are against neoconservatism. You believe in freedom of thought and liberality of conscience. You do not subscribe to ‘bot’ culture (e.g. conservabots, Obamabots, etc.) 6. You realize that the world of democratic government can be a travesty; uninhabitable, inhospitable, and undesirable – and yet, you believe it remains humanity’s greatest hope for collective goodwill, shared sacrifice and commonwealth. 7. You believe the federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour makes a mockery of social justice and economic fairness and that it should be raised to restore American buying power. 8. You recognize the Tea Party as a symptom of social discontent with a government that has abandoned it’s New Deal legacy, rather than a policy toy for neoconservatives and warmongering. 9. You believe Wall Street should return its fiscal and monetary favors to Main Street. 10.
